How do I get a Moth Pixie?
You can get one through purchase (USD/DA Points/Nectar), Raffle, Gifts, or completing certain contests where a free Moth Pixie is a prize. The group will also have MYO events or MYO sales and will announce when we do!
Do I need to have a Moth Pixie to create or join a Guild/Club?
No, you don't! Guilds/Clubs can be made by anyone for anyone.
How do I grow my Moth Pixie Grub?
To grow a Grub into a Cocoon, you will need to make a Raindrop Cake and either art, writing, or pay the artist a $25 fee. Submissions can be found on the website on the Grub Growth page.
How do I know that my Grub Growth has been submitted?
Give the artist 2-3 days to update their trello, the Queens must first check the email and then give the task out to that artist. If they’ve not updated their trello after 2-3 days, you can then ask in the questions channel to see if the submission went through properly.
How do I receive Nectar/Honeycomb?
You can receive Nectar by completing Quests on the website’s Quest Board. Honeycomb is specifically our Patreon currency, they’re sent out once a month after patreon payment is taken. They can however, also be rewarded when using a Lucky Coin.
How do I craft honey?
You can craft a honey by going into the papilio market channel of discord. Each honey or craftable item can require different amounts of items, but it’s all a learning experience and driven by the community. The staff will not tell you how many ingredients you need to brew your honeys for their specific grades.
What are pets?
It’s just a collectable item that you can pair with your moth pixie as a canon pet. You can draw them with your moth pixies but otherwise, they don’t really do much.
When can I post for a Free Breeding?
A person is able to post a single breeding at roll-over EST between the end of month (ex; July) and beginning of the next (ex; August). 3 people will be chosen via raffle to win a free breeding slot, then be picked by an available artist. No duplicate postings will be recognized. Duplicate Moths will need to be changed out if the chosen posts have the same moth pixie. The players have the choice to ask for a reroll/withdraw their breeding if they wish not to change out a duplicate moth.
What are Queens/Voidlings?
Queens/Voidlings are a subspecies of the Moth Pixies. Queens are rarer than Voidlings, but both have the ability to breed. Voidlings can breed to other Voidlings and Queens but not normal Moth Pixies. Queens however can breed to all types of Moth Pixies, but not a Moth Pixie and a Voidling at the same time.
Can you collab/commission growths or quests?
Yes, growths can be collabed as long as it’s with the full siblings of a breeding. Some quests are able to be collabed, like Guild or Event Quests, but otherwise need to be done on your own or commissioned. Anything commissioned must have proper artist credit.
What does FTO / MYO / DTA / DTE / WTA / WTE / Flaffle / Gacha mean?
FTO means First Time Owner.
MYO means Make Your Own.
DTA means Draw to Adopt, so you draw the adopt and the artist picks the winner.
DTE means Draw to Enter, you’re drawing a piece of art to be put in a raffle for the Adopt.
WTA means Write to Adopt and WTE means Write to enter, with the same explanations as above.
Flaffle means it’s a Flat Sale Raffle, you enter for a chance to purchase said adopt.
Gacha is like the quarter machines for a random prize, you pay the set price and are given a random adopt from a pool given by artists in the group.
When does Lucky Day’s Emporium restock?
Lucky Day’s Emporium restocks every Sunday at 8:00am EST. This is always set, but a Queen may also restock the shop depending on the demand of the shop each week to restock it twice.
Do the other shops restock?
Yes they do, though unlike the Emporium, prices and quantities are set for each item.
Where can I find the NPCs?
Each NPC belongs to a Queen, you can find them under their hives with NPC by their names or coming soon to the website, where they’ll have their own page.
What’s an archive and how do I make one?
An archive is where you keep track of all of your characters in the Closed Species. This can be on any public image hosting platform so staff can see, as they’ll need to check your archives during breedings for traits and grub growths. If your grub isn’t in your archive, you can be denied it’s growth. Examples that can be used are like DeviantArt or Toyhou.se
How do I get a MYO?
MYOs are given out through Lucky Coins, events, raffles for FTOs every month, and can sometimes be purchased.
How do I get my MYO approved?
Please send a sketch to a Queen for approval first with the initial idea. Then again after coloring so we can be sure everything matches from the sketch. Once your MYO is approved fully from a Queen, you can submit them to the MYO Submissions channel.
How do I transfer ownership of a moth pixie?
Please ping the mods role in the questions channel and let them know you’re transferring the specific moth to the specific player. Letting us know the ID # or Scent of the moth would be best.
What do Honeys do?
Honeys are magical items your moth pixie drinks to obtain new traits or looks! When you’ve made a honey, just post the use and the moth pixie in the honey cellar, an artist will update the art for the new or removed trait.
